I am a lifelong writer of magical beings and creator of fantastic worlds. Before I discovered Tolkein, MZB, Clarke, Asimov, or LeGuin, I was a fan of Beatrix Potter and Hans Christian Andersen. My mother shared her love of books from the time I could first sit up on her lap. From the family encyclopedia, I learned of other cultures in the world beyond our middle-class suburbs. Picture books of fairy tales kindled my imagination to believe that cookies can run away and mice can talk. Through the years, I worked to develop my original universe as a playground in my mind where the heroes are sometimes not so heroic, the villains are not always evil, and the monsters were once beautiful creatures who fell from grace. My debut novel, "Touch," is being published by Phantasm Books of Assent Publishing towards the end of the year.
